This area of Massachusetts lines the border of New Hampshire and is oftentimes more rural and wooded than it’s neighboring metro areas to the south. “Life in Northern MA has a little bit of everything. We’re close to Boston and can easily get “in town” when we need to, especially for medical care. We enjoy that we live in a small town on a half acre of land, but we also enjoy that we live next to the larger city of Haverhill. We can easily access UMass Lowell while also loving our small, community elementary school. and our larger regional high school. It’s a quiet life that we enjoy, with lots of options to have the “city on the side.”
“Northern MA is great because it’s within distance of Southern NH and Boston! There is live music, art, shopping, and access to the city via T or expressway. It’s a great place to experience city-life outside of a major city. With the the university and local colleges around there is always something new to explore in the neighboring cities.”
