Ashley Mitchell is a stay-at-home mom to Zion, Director of the Movement School at Down Under Yoga where she also teaches strength classes, consults in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, and most proudly, runs The Courage Campaign, a non-profit founded with her husband Mark. We are so thankful to Ashley for talking with us today about wellness through social justice. 

About Our Guest

ASHLEY MITCHELL is a multi-passionate creator and new mom. Over the course of her life, she has had the unique opportunity to experience a myriad of physical and mental training philosophies along with real-world challenges that served as critical catalysts for introspection and growth and has consistently shown the ability to dissect self-limiting beliefs and trauma to summon grit, fortitude, and creativity.

Boston Ballet School (BBS), founded in 1963, is housed in two convenient state-of-the art locations. The Boston studio, located in the historic South End of Boston, is also the headquarters of the Boston Ballet Company. The Newton studio, located 10 minutes outside of Boston, is Universal Design for Learning compliant. The incremental curriculum for students ages 16 months through adult begins in the Children’s Program introducing students to the educational journey of dance training. Shannon Gibson
Shannon started following Boston Moms on social media before she even lived in the Boston area! She credits her passion for the brand to the way it served her personally before she ever contributed to it. Though Shannon moved to Boston to support her husband’s career, Boston Moms was the unexpected gift and opportunity she had no idea was waiting for her. Shannon is mom to Elizabeth (2016) and Anderson (2018). She has been married to her husband, Benjamin, since 2012. Benjamin is a filmmaker and owner of Boston production company Magnus Films. In her free time, Shannon enjoys going to the beach, browsing antique stores, hiking with her family, traveling, reading, and watching movies with her husband.
