I was recently given an opportunity to try Feast & Fettle — a local meal-delivery service that offers home-cooked meals, but with no cooking required! It’s a mother’s dream.

Feast & Fettle meals are prepared by professional chefs and delivered directly to your home. Orders are placed a week ahead, and each week your chosen entrees and sides are hand delivered to you. Unlike many other meal delivery services, Feast & Fettle meals are not shipped, so you can choose what day to get your meals delivered and you can track your order. All the meals are complete ready to eat and only need to be heated up. Besides being an obvious time saver, here are the reasons I am loving Feast & Fettle:

Feast & Fettle deliveryLess food waste

For years I have been buying groceries and guiltily throwing them out. I have such good intentions with weekly meal planing. However, life happens! Kids get sick or a spouse works late and the bagged salad and chicken thighs end up in the garbage. If I am really being honest, I would say I toss a whole meal in the trash about once a week. I am not proud of this, but after years of this pattern I am accepting that it is a reality.

The sides, specifically vegetables

By far, the most time-consuming thing for me to make a good home-cooked meal is the sides. If the vegetable in my fridge has not gone bad, it takes time to clean, cut, saute and/or mash said vegetable. My kids will eat simple green beans or broccoli, but they are not eating roasted brussels sprouts. Some days I have the time and energy to make a side, and some days I just do not. Feast & Fettle has sides ready to warm up that are flavorful and fun. So I can give my kids carrots while my husband and I enjoy parmesan creamed swiss chard or sautéed shishito peppers. This is also a way to introduce my kids to new flavors and foods because they will get curious about what is on our plates.

Feast & Fettle meal deliveryI’m saving money!

Let’s do some simple math together! I pay $135 per week for three meals (entree and sides) delivered by Feast & Fettle for me and my husband. I’ve already confessed I consistently throw out $20 a week in food I bought from the grocery store but did not use, and then I typically spend $30-40 on takeout to replace that meal. Add in up to two other nights of takeout or going to a restaurant to dine in, and we’ve far exceeded my $135 Feast & Fettle order. I am sticking to my budget AND eating delicious and healthy food. Win/win/win!

One less thing to worry about

As a mom, I’m constantly juggling my entire family’s needs. It is exhausting. Knowing that I have my meals outsourced is a huge stress relief for me. The meals are beyond easy to prepare, and if my husband gets stuck at work late, we can prepare his later so he is not missing out. We are well fed, and I feel cared for a in a new way. Feast & Fettle meal delivery is giving me extra precious time each week to balance a busy schedule!

Have I convinced you? I hope so!
