Boston Ballet School believes that dance is for children of all ages, abilities, and household incomes. Our incremental curriculum for students ages 16 months-adult begins in the Children’s Program, introducing students to the educational journey of ballet dance training. Progressing into our Classical Ballet Program, students learn in a more professional ballet setting surrounded by world-class faculty and artists. BBS also offers Adaptive Dance classes designed for individuals with disabilities and an Adult Dance Program with emphasis on staying in shape and community building!

Professional faculty and Community Building
Students at Boston Ballet School are taught by professional dance educators who held illustrious careers performing and teaching with American Ballet Theatre, New York City Ballet, San Francisco Ballet, Miami City Ballet, among others. After retiring from professional ballet companies our faculty have dedicated their careers to providing high quality training and educational high-quality training and education to all students. Throughout the school year our faculty work diligently to foster trust in the studios and positive relationships with students and parents. Opportunities for connection with faculty include Community Time, Parent/Faculty Conferences, Curriculum Nights, and Observation Weeks.
State-of-the-art facilities
Boston Ballet School is housed in two convenient state-of-the art locations.
Boston Studio (19 Clarendon Street): Located in the historic South End of Boston, MA, and headquarters of the Boston Ballet Company
Newton Studio (153 Needham Street): Located 10 minutes outside of Boston, and Universal Design for Learning complaint.
Music education
All students age 5+ have live musical accompaniment in their classes. Musicians and music teachers add an element of music/dance connection to our Children’s Program classes and provide a professional ballet setting for our Classical Ballet students.
Health and Wellness Team
BBS faculty and staff partner with parents and health care providers to educate and develop healthy habits in our students. We offer resources, lectures, and consultations to parents and students to assist in their progression both physically and mentally. Our wellness consultants have been carefully chosen because of their specialized skills in working with young developing dancers.
Dance at Boston Ballet School is more than just an extra-curricular activity. When your child enrolls in our classes, they join a community of ballet lovers, faculty, staff, and artists that step towards the future of Boston Ballet, where our art breaks down barriers, opens minds, and strengthens our connections to each other.
