For those of you who are still at the NICU or have been there and haven't talked about it, talk about it. We need to create more communities for NICU families to talk about this incredibly difficult experience and how it shapes us as caregivers. I'd love to hear your story. Because mine needs company.
I have to admit, when it comes to certain things, I am more than willing to take the lazy way out. Working full time on top of being a parent and a playwright allows me access to the easy button every once in awhile. And when it comes to food delivery, I may as well be a sloth, but I’ve learned to be OK with that. Luckily, there are plenty of options to fill my pantry for the long haul or my stomach on a hangry quick fix.

I am so thankful for my amazing daughters, my loving and supportive husband, and my community. I am so grateful for the laughter, the songs, and the hugs that are constant in my life. And I am thankful for... dirty diapers.

Believe me, you are not going to find me saying that COVID-19 has a blessing in disguise or that the last year has in any way been anything but heartbreaking and extremely challenging. COVID has shattered families, ravaged jobs, created...
