Great Wolf Lodge provided accommodations and amenities. All opinions are my own.

It’s rare that you get to travel for less than an hour and have a full-blown vacation with your kids. I’m not talking about the kind of getaway where you escape (because those don’t exist with kids). I’m talking about a fun family trip where everyone has something to do, the kids are happy and exhausted at the end of the day, and you never hear “I’m bored.” Yup, a trip like this does exist. It’s in Fitchburg, and it’s called Great Wolf Lodge.

OK, truth time. I didn’t know much about Great Wolf Lodge. I thought it was simply a hotel and an indoor water park. I genuinely had no idea how I was going to keep my kids busy and entertained for three days and two nights. Not only was I so very wrong, but there was so much to do that we couldn’t even do it all.

Great Wolf Lodge treated us to some “Paw Passes,” which gave us the opportunity to try a little bit of everything. Well, opportunity, in theory, since we couldn’t fit it all in! In addition to the water parks (yes, there are two of them), there is so much indoor fun to be had by everyone. Here’s just a sampling of everything you can do to keep yourself and your family busy:

🐾 Magi Quest
🐾 Oliver’s Mining Co
🐾 Northern Lights Arcade
🐾 Howlin’ Timbers Play Park
🐾 Ten Paw Alley
🐾 Creation Station
🐾 Scooops Kid Spa

The best thing is that we literally did not have to step outside to have our fun. We could “divide and conquer,” and our kids could do what they wanted on their own time. There was even entertainment for those rare moments of downtime.

🐾 Character Appearances
🐾 PJ Party
🐾 Story Time
🐾 The Forest Friends Show

We basically didn’t stop for the whole weekend. The best part? My kids didn’t fight. They were happy the whole time. Maybe they were too tired to fight, but those smiles couldn’t be beat. Now we just need to figure out when we can head back (so they can stop asking!).
