Visiting Boston with your family soon? Looking for a family-friendly staycation local to Boston? As we recently discovered, Boston Marriott Long Wharf is the ideal hotel location for any family!

Marriott Long Wharf buildingOur family of four was invited for an overnight stay at the Boston Marriott Long Wharf to experience all they have to offer families firsthand! After spending the day with our two young kids at the New England Aquarium, it was so nice to walk just a few steps over to our hotel for the night. The kids could not believe we were staying so close to one of our favorite attractions!

After pulling up to hotel, our car was valeted and a hotel staff member took care of making sure our bags were delivered to our room. As parents, it was a huge relief to have the extra help instead of trying to juggle our car, bags and kids on arrival. We checked in with the front desk where they told us where the restaurants, pool and other amenities were located.

Walking into our King Suite, the first thing we noticed was the VIEW. The kids were thrilled to see the New England Aquarium out the window, as well as beautiful city views to our right and stunning ocean views to our left. We watched boats come in and out of the harbor, as well as airplanes coming in for a landing at Logan International Airport. As if this wasn’t entertaining enough, we were then greeted with milk and cookies in our room! Such a memorable, special treat.

The living room portion of our suite featured an L-shape sofa with plenty of room for our family to comfortably spread out. At night, the couch pulls out into an already made bed, and the hotel provided us with a roll away bed so each of our kids had their own sleep space. Separately, my husband and I had our own room, right next to the living area. Typically in a hotel room we have to go to bed early with the kids. But with this arrangement, we were able to put our babies to sleep, and then enjoy TV and relaxing time in our room after a busy day. My husband even commented on how perfect the layout was for traveling families! Our suite also featured one luxurious bathroom, as well as a nook with a coffee maker, refrigerator, and space to hang our clothes.

Eating out with kids can be stressful, but the on-site dining staff at the hotel was more than prepared to make our dinner experience with kids a good one! They immediately brought out kid-friendly beverage cups, along with coloring pages and crayons. The dining staff talked to our kids, engaged with them, and made them feel so welcome. The kids menu had so many wonderful options, even for my picky eaters! My husband and I enjoyed our pasta and fish dishes, along with a scrumptious classic New England clam chowder.

We decided to squeeze in two trips to the swimming pool! The kids loved their first night swim in the hotel’s huge indoor pool. We were joined by so many families both that night, and the next morning! Just outside is an enormous balcony that allows you to really take in the uniqueness of the Marriott Long Wharf’s waterfront location. Along with the stunning ocean views, we could also see the North End, complete with the iconic Old North Church steeple. The hotel graciously provides towels in the pool area — one less thing for mom to worry about!

Needless to say, we were all sad when it was time to leave. The Boston Marriott Long Wharf made our stay with kids easy, fun and enjoyable for everyone. They met all of our family’s needs, and the hotel’s attention to detail made the stay very comfortable for both parents and kids. Our kids are already asking when we can go back! Marriott Long Wharf helped our family create special memories that we will be talking about for years.
