We are so lucky to partner with Costco to bring you this fun and exciting event!

As moms, it feels like we’re always running to the store to get more of something we’ve run out of — diapers, or dish soap, or the favorite snack our kids just have to have. Despite our best intentions to keep a running grocery list, something always gets left off. Which is why I adore buying in bulk at Costco — that makes it easy to always be sure we have everything we need in the house.

Costco Mom Hour Boston1. Coconut oil: Didn’t expect that, did you? I keep a paleo home, and we go through an obnoxious amount of coconut oil. Five years ago, if you told me I’d be buying 54 oz. of the stuff at once I would have laughed at you. But we use it — and not just for cooking. Seriously, the uses for coconut oil go on and on. Which is why I always want it on hand!

2. Toilet paper and paper goods: All the paper goods! We load up on plates, paper towels, toilet paper, napkins, and everything else we can. (Yes, we recycle.)

3. Applesauce pouches: I rarely leave home without a few of these in my purse or diaper bag. My kids love them for a quick snack, and so do I!

4. Wine and alcohol: I love stopping into the liquor store at Costco. The selection is huge and diverse, and the prices are ridiculous. Plus, there are often tastings!

5. Diapers and wipes: Any mom who isn’t using cloth diapers flies through diapers and wipes like they’re going out of style. The Kirkland brand can’t be beat for price, and the quality is right up there with any of the name brands. Diapers and wipes are a hard deal to beat, especially when you have more than one kid in diapers!

6. Toiletries and medication: I tend not to be incredibly brand loyal for a lot of things, except when it comes to what I’m putting in and on my body. I always make sure to stock up on body lotion, mouthwash, floss, allergy medicine, vitamins, and whatever else I can get my hands on!

7. Snacks: Now that my kids are in school, it’s all about packing the perfect lunches and snacks. I love finding fun new crackers, chips, and bars to surprise them, and to make sure they always have variety.

8. Nuts: We go through the giant containers of Kirkland nuts like our lives depend on it. Though my kids love their own snacks, we tend to gravitate toward nuts since they are filling and so easy to grab. Costco has so much variety!

8. Books and toys: I have a minor cookbook addiction and always love scoring a signed copy of a cookbook or just finding something new. My kids love poking through the great selection of toys and games and always go home with a book or two!

9. Organic produce: The amount of produce our family goes through borders on crazy. We try our best to eat organic (focusing on the dirty dozen) and can find everything we are looking for at Costco, in sizes big enough to keep my family happy!

img_1381As if our favorite things aren’t enough, here are even more reasons to shop at Costco:

  • Competitive pricing on quality merchandise meets or exceeds local competitors.
  • Kirkland Signature products are rated higher than most leading brands.
  • Free demos and samples on a daily basis.
  • Costco is leading the nation in organic sales.
  • The environment in Costco speaks for itself with its cleanliness and well-lit warehouse shopping experience.
  • Costco offers many services in and outside of the warehouse: auto buying, check printing, travel and car rentals, insurance, mortgage financing, water delivery, leaf guard, flooring and windows, identity protection, pharmacy, hearing aid, optical, and photo lab.
  • Discounts to restaurants, movies, spas, and many more.
  • A 100% member satisfaction guarantee — they’ll refund your membership if at any time you are not satisfied.
  • Free healthy heart screening and osteoporosis screening to all members and non-members.
  • Pet meds for your fur babies.
  • Costco’s meat department is USDA Choice grade or better.
  • They have the best rotisserie three-pound chicken for $4.99 — no preservatives, MSG free, gluten free, and USDA grade.

But don’t just take our word for it! Come see for yourself!
