I’m always looking for things to do that involve food! And even better is when the events are kid-friendly. Here are 10 Boston food festivals worth checking out this summer — all involve delicious eats!

Jimmy Fund Scooper Bowl :: Patriot Place, Foxborough :: June 2-3

Who doesn’t love all-you-can-eat ice cream?! The Scooper Bowl also promises entertainment and games, all to benefit the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

St. Athanasius Greek Food Festival :: Arlington :: June 9-11

You don’t have to be Greek to love this festival for its music, dancing, and authentic Greek food! This festival is held every year under a tent, rain or shine. I usually end up taking home extra food because the moussaka and pastichio freeze well. I also love the fried-dough-type dessert called loukoumades! Kids will love the Greek fries topped with feta.

Boston Pizza Festival :: City Hall Plaza :: June 24-25

At this festival, you’ll enjoy all-you-can-eat pizza, entertainment, games, and more!

Boston Jerkfest :: Allston :: July 7-8

Look for spicy (and non-spicy!) food, chef demos, live music, and plenty of kids activities, including face painting, storytelling, and arts and crafts.

Verrill Farm Blueberry Pancake Breakfast :: Concord :: July 15

Reservations are required in advance for this blueberry pancake breakfast, with timed seatings. (If strawberries are more your thing, try the farm’s Strawberry Festival on June 17!)

SoWaBoston :: Food Truck & Craft Beer Festival :: July 22

This one includes some of the area’s most popular food trucks, featuring Mexican, lobster rolls, cupcakes, hot dogs, ice cream, and more!

Cape Cod Food Truck Festival :: Falmouth :: August 5

This festival will have more than 30 different food trucks, enticing you with everything from lobster to pizza to poke to BBQ!

Chinatown August Moon Festival :: Boston :: August 7

This day-long event is filled with cultural performances, arts and crafts, and, of course, yummy Chinese food!

113th Annual Fisherman’s Feast :: North End :: August 17-20

One of the largest of the North End summer feasts, this event definitely has something for everyone. Highlights include live music, food demos and competitions, Italian souvenirs, and plenty of pizza and cannolis!

Boston Seafood Festival :: Seaport :: September 10

This amazing festival includes food trucks (and other options if you don’t like seafood), chef demonstrations, a beer garden, an oyster-shucking contest, live entertainment, and kids activities. It’s a delicious end-of-summer event to add to your calendar.

Wherever you end up this summer, it’s great to be outdoors to enjoy some beautiful weather and delicious food!
